K&M Sues Modest Mouse Singer Isaac Brock

Modest Mouse frontman Isaac Brock told bystanders he fell asleep at the wheel before rear-ending a city employee on the Morrison Bridge.

Brock, 42, was sleep deprived when he crashed his Land Rover into a truck driven by Cassidy Kane, causing a five-car pileup. Police cited Brock for careless driving contributing to an accident. Police did not detect any signs that Brock was impaired and did not administer field sobriety tests.

Kane, a 41-year-old city utility worker, was seriously injured in the collision. She hasn’t been able to work during the 15 months since the crash because of the neck shoulder and back injuries she suffered. Kane’s job at Delta Park required her to lift up to 100 pounds, dig irrigation trenches, fix, rake and chalk baseball fields – none of which she can do now.

The case settled for an undisclosed sum.
