George Orazio’s boss at the Smurfit Corporation told him to climb into a huge tank and clean it out. But no one said that the chemicals he was wading in were dangerously corrosive. He suffered severe burns to his foot, and his doctor wrote that the skin on the top of his foot would forever be as thin and fragile as cigarette paper. He would be unable to do heavy work again or to wear heavy boots. After prolonged negotiations, we helped Orazio settle the case for an undisclosed amount.
