Karina has been writing about the legal industry for over a decade. She specializes in in-depth stories about environmental issues, issues within Native America and conflict arising from human interaction with nature. Karina extensively covered the 2016 occupation of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge.
For Kafoury & McDougal, Karina develops and executes the law firm’s social media strategy and writes about the firm’s numerous courtroom victories.
Karina studied literature and creative writing at Portland State University. She has studied creative writing with some of the top teachers in Portland’s writing community.
In her spare time, Karina dances ballet, gardens at her new home and runs a small business selling her handmade natural skin care products.
